Hier die Pressemeldung:
The entire Neos team is very excited to provide the first Beta release of TYPO3 Neos 1.0. It is an important step towards the final 1.0 release. The Beta provides more stability for early adopters and contains most features of the upcoming release. We expect there won’t be any breaking changes from now until the final release.

The speed at which features are stabilized and new functionality can be added has boosted tremendously during the last few months. Our platform is now becoming more and more reliable and steady. That means that the pace of development is naturally increasing now. While approaching the 1.0 stable release, we expect this trend to continue. It is also becoming more and more effortless to include new developers now that the platform is stronger and more balanced.
The user interface has been been improved in many areas and is continuously undergoing refinement. The reorganization of our editing modes and the Preview Central – and also the relabeling of Wireframe mode to Raw Content – did not make it into the Beta 1 but we’re very close to be able to release this important UI change.
The neos.typo3.org website is currently undergoing major rework and will be relaunched soon to show the product in ways that better presents all the massive power of TYPO3 Neos. Both text, structure and design will change greatly to allow us to progressively build the online presence for Neos for both clients, agencies and our community.
The team intends to release more Beta versions before the 1.0 release but not on a specified schedule.
Now that TYPO3 Neos is out of Alpha, the Beta can more safely be used for real projects. More and more agencies and freelancers have started using TYPO3 Neos – for both test and production. If you don’t plan to use it for production just yet, then this Beta release is the perfect time to take it for a spin, see how it all works – and give back input to the team to make sure that the final release will work for all kinds of scenarios.
Major changes since the Alpha 7 version:
- Improved the ease of use for frontend developers and website integrators, e.g. no TypoScript has to be written to create custom content elements
- SEO improvements to prevent duplicate content
- Cleaner frontend HTML output for a better support of custom templates and various HTML frameworks
- Improved stability of content editing and overall user experience
- Numerous bug fixes and stability improvements
A full list of changes can be found in the release notes.

The final TYPO3 Neos 1.0 release is planned for December 10th 2013.
